Shawn Fatheree brings a claims-first mindset that aligns operational excellence with clients’ growth objectives to his role as Vice President — Carrier Practice Sales at Gallagher Bassett.

With more than 25 years of diverse insurance industry experience, including functional leadership roles with carriers, third-party administrators (TPA), and managing general agents (MGA), Shawn’s extensive firsthand experience in claims operations has equipped him to deliver best-in-class TPA services, designed not as outsourced claims handling, but as a true extension of an organization.

Shawn graduated from Illinois Wesleyan’s Risk Management and Insurance program and started his career as a claims adjuster with Progressive before finding the MGA/Program industry where he has excelled in positions across claims, operations, and sales, including 11 years in Avant’s Division of Specialty Programs and 4 years at Western Skies MGA.

Shawn’s experience and leadership skills have positioned him to support the unique needs of MGAs and Programs, as well as to provide innovative solutions for Carrier clients.
