VP — Carrier Practice Sales

Chris Hampshire partners with leading insurance carriers and program administrators to design impactful claims management programs as a Vice President of Sales in Gallagher Bassett’s Carrier Practice.

Chris began his insurance career in 2003 and has helped lead the profitable growth efforts for a national carrier, regional brokerage, and a national TPA prior to joining Gallagher Bassett.

He holds his CPCU, CIC and ARM designations, completed his Bachelors’ degree at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA through the Loyola University Maryland MBA Fellows program. Chris also completed The Institutes Executive Education program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in 2017. He also recently earned his Master’s in Insurance Management degree from Columbia University.

He was elected as the Global President of the CPCU Society, one of the largest professional organizations in the insurance sector, in 2022 after serving as the President-Elect in 2021. He began his three-year term on the National CPCU Society’s Leadership Council in 2018 and joined the Executive Committee in 2019 after serving as the Philadelphia CPCU Society Chapter’s President in 2016 and 2017.

Chris hosts the “IN The Know: The CPCU Society Unscripted” podcast, now in its sixth year, where he interviews insurance professionals in episodes that debut biweekly. He is also a frequently requested industry speaker at industry conferences on topics including developing claims management programs that drive the best outcomes, the legacy sector, and the future of risk and insurance.
