Rob Blasio is Managing Director of GB Specialty, an operating division of Gallagher Bassett with concentrations in high-risk liability areas, including healthcare, professional liability, product liability, transportation, cyber, and construction. Prior to being Managing Director, Mr. Blasio founded Western Litigation (“WL”) in 1994 and was responsible for strategically growing the company into an industry leader in the management of claims and risk for the professional liability insurance industry. Prior to founding WL, Mr. Blasio was engaged in private legal practice in Chicago for eight years, where he specialized in the defense of physicians and hospitals in professional negligence matters and the defense of insurers in insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Blasio graduated cum laude from Lawrence University in 1981 and received his Juris Doctorate, with Honors, from the George Washington University in 1984.
